Mariana Support Specialist Mariana Chiza is Venezuelan, she has lived in the United States for 7 years. She has a degree in Human Resources and Tourism Business Administration, Announcer and Life Coach from the Universidad Iberoamericana de Liderazgo in Miami. For 3 years he has had a podcast "It's About Attitude" (with dozens of episodes in different apps), focusing on issues of self-esteem, self-improvement, motivation and he does it as a personal log of challenges he has had to live. Mariana Chiza is a writer, with 2 books published on Amazon in Spanish: "Surviving Three Divorces", and "Mujeres Admirables", the latter written with 24 women. She is also a co-author of the book "Mujeres Dream Boss", she is currently writing #2 of "Mujeres Admirables Historias de Exito" with 16 women, has been invited to write in the book "TOP 25 Mujeres Dream Boss". She started her career as a science teacher and worked in that field for over 10 years. Ana moved to Tampa in 2015 and decided to further her education and now attends Hillsborough Community College. Ana started as an intern for the Family Resource Center, she fell and love and soon after became an employee. When asked about working at the Resource Centers Ana said, "I love working at the CBFRC because I believe that one person can make a huge difference in someone's life. When we treat people with love and patience, nothing is impossible". Ana's hobbies include walking and reading. She loves animals and has two small dogs Misty and Mickey. ¡Yo hablo español! Yesenia Family Specialist Yesenia Chestaro was born in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she began her studies at the Autonomous University of Santiago in a tourism business administration career. She has always liked working directly with people, helping and providing services. Yesenia worked for 5 years in the BAHIA PRINCIPE hotel chain, she got married and moved to the United States in 2017. She has always been fascinated by the idea of studying, working and helping people in the healthcare area. She considers herself a self-capable person with a great desire to grow both professionally and personally. Cold Weather Resources Hillsborough Cold Weather Shelters to Open Wednesday Night Program is expected to have high demand and limited capacity Hillsborough County, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2024) – Hillsborough County’s cold weather shelters program will be activated tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 11, for the homeless and those who live in homes without adequate heat who are unable to find other accommodations. The National Weather Service expects local temperatures to dip to or below 40 degrees with wind chill in Hillsborough County on Wednesday night. Shelter organizers are expecting high demand with limited capacity, so residents who need a warm place to stay are encouraged to use all resources like friends and family as a first option. Hillsborough County is partnering with the following organizations to provide limited-capacity cold weather shelters for adults. All shelters will take in guests from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, unless they reach capacity prior to that time. Church of God of Prophecy Hyde Park 107 S. Metropolitan Ministries is supplying a limited number of single-night motel vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis for families with minor children. Read the Summer Passport FAQ Summer Passport registration will take place on Saturday, March 25 from 10:00am-5:30pm. This will be the third and final registration day. Summer Camp spots are very limited. When you call 813-829-2730 to register, you will be asked what camp location , dates and themes you are interested in. (For instance, "science-themed camp" or "a camp that takes place in late June.") The camp locations below have limited spots available. A staff member will tell you which camps are available to choose from.
